Janet Hennessey, a native St. Louisan is the owner of Petals and Buds, a full service florist specializing in local flowers. Janet's love and passion for flowers blossomed early, tending her grandmother's wildflower and vegetable garden. After earning her master gardener designation she went all in on growing a wide array of specialized cut flowers for the local floral industry and ultimately for her own clientele.

Her loose, airy designs evoke a freshly gathered meadow bouquet. She will often incorporate native plants and foraged elements in her designs for a sophisticated garden style aesthetic. With a commitment to organic practices, Janet nurtures her fields without synthetic chemicals, fostering biodiversity and healthy ecosystems.

She handcrafts bouquets for every day arrangements and events. Janet also offers workshops, teaching others to grow and arrange flowers with a naturalistic style. Her flowers are grown at her home in Ladue, MO as well as her 130 acre farm in Augusta, MO.
